Roles within Miss Takes
As you participate and grow, there are more ways to contribute and take on leadership within Miss Takes:
SceneMakers
SceneMakers are trusted volunteer leaders who help bring Miss Takes productions and events to life. Selected by ShowRunners, they’re known for their reliability, collaboration, and dedication to the community.
They assist with:
Event setup and coordination
Supporting on-set productions
Creating safe, welcoming spaces for all
You don’t apply to become a SceneMaker — you grow into the role by showing up, giving back, and embodying the spirit of Miss Takes.
ShowRunners
ShowRunners are the creative and operational leads of Miss Takes Film Club. They guide the day-to-day work of the organization.
Responsibilities include:
Coordinating events and productions
Managing communication with members
Shaping strategy and overseeing studio operations
Serving as the bridge between the community and the board

Our Founders
Amanda Borvá and Vanessa Provencio co-founded Miss Takes Film Club in 2023 with a shared mission: to create a space for students and emerging creatives to collaborate, experiment, and grow through filmmaking.
Their early work laid the foundation for the values that continue to guide Miss Takes today — creativity, safety, community, and growth.
